About APOU, Local 2841
The APOU consists of approximately 370 police officers, detectives, communications workers and civilians, charges with protecting the citizens of the City of Albany, New York. The purpose of the APOU is to provide the professional working men and women that protect the citizens of Albany with the best possible working conditions. The APOU strives to ensure that each of our members are provided with the greatest service available. This Union strives to guarantee that our members' rights are protected while performing their official duties and that the members are afforded the respect, dignity and just compensation they justly deserve for the quality of services they render each and every day at great personal sacrifice. .
